This is a au where after Steven Universe: Future Steven decides to stay in beach city as well as Connie (I just couldn't keep the ending :(( and both her and Steven are 16) connie became such a prodigy in school that she graduated at age 16 and decided. as a kid she barely had any freedom so screw it, she stayed in beach city and skipped college. Steven considered leaving beach city, but 1: obviously He was 16 and couldn't leave. 2: he couldn't bare to be separated from the people he loved. After many flirtatious moments between Steven and Connie, the night before they started dating Connie was kicked out of her own house, a new girl moves into beach city, and Steven isn't sure if he's real.. Who and where is pink diamond again? Is it deja vu? A memory? A piece of his mind? Why is she here again? Let's find out.

With Connie ready to move out of Beach City, Steven and Connie decide to fuse permanently. What does this mean for the crystal gems, and for homeworld? Artwork by PricklyAlpaca

Steven struggles with internal and external conflicts when a close friend is faced with a life changing situation. (Steven Universe and all of its characters belong to Rebecca Sugar, and other members of the crewniverse.)

Connie has been trying to show Steven how she feels. Kissing his cheek, holding his hand, that sort of stuff, but he doesn't seem to be catching on, or if he is he isn't showing it. Connie finally decides to tell Steven straight up and find out if he feels the same way, but Steven keeps avoiding her. He keeps avoiding everyone. Finally, Connie caught Steven before he could run off...boy what a surprise she got.

This story is based off after the seventh Steven Universe bomb (the episodes being Dewey Wins, Raising The Barn, Back to the Kindergarten, Gemcation, and Kevin Party). There will be no chapters that have to deal with "Author's Notes," because I find them annoying. I will put Author's Notes somewhere in the chapters as we go-- UNLESS IT IS IMPORTANT.
