Basically a slimeknight / Avery x Derek fanfic, except it's a parallel universe where Derek survives after the events of DAWTDE (Destroying a world that doesn't exist-MADE BY WIFIES ON YOUTUBE!), and he and Avery both cope with the events before finally meeting eachother. (P.S. Contents in the chapters may not add up to the lore from the arg, but it's just my own take + I'm trying to cope so pls bare with me and let's cope together, fellow sfawtde/dawtde fans.)

Days have passed since D3rlord3's (or rather, Derek's) sacrifice, and Avery hasn't been his best. He hasn't eaten properly, hasn't slept for many nights straight, and hasn't heard from his family members. Not that he minds, though. His thoughts are just focused on D3rlord3. D3rlord was the person who he longed to meet in person. Who he longed to speak with for more than just 12 hours... though that wasn't the case. Avery believed D3rlord was gone forever. Until he got a letter in his mail. The letter consists of some important scribbled words. The name of the world the King was in. A task. A set of coordinates on it, specifically Minecraft coordinates. And the name 'D3rlord3'. The letter wasn't signed, much to Avery's dismay. Who wrote him this? A supernatural being? A random person playing a prank on him? Even with all the risks and possible scenarios, his curiosity got the best of him and he logged on. And so began, the 2nd Lord3 hunt. As the crown prince of the Empire of Quelen, people were never kind to him unless they wanted something. People were either sycophantic damn near to the point of insulting, or as rude as possible while leaving room for plausible deniability. They hated or loved him for the crown, he was not a living being as far as they were concerned. That is what he believed until Avery waltzed right into his life and sat down and refused to leave, not that he wanted him to leave. Why would he want the only one to make the world seem bearable leave?

Avery has to accept he is gone. He drives himself over the edge grieving D3rlord3- Derek. He struggles to imagine living on without him, carrying around the memory of him. Making himself crazy he believes there's still a chance that Derek is still alive and he won't see every red flag telling him it is not Derek.
