The series follows the reign of Sultan Süleyman (r. 1520-1566), known in the West as Suleiman the Magnificent. At age 26 Suleiman takes the throne. During his reign he gathers many sons and one daughter. Only one son may take the throne (not necessarily the eldest). During his early reign a concubine called Alexandra (Hurrem) catches his eye and sets his works on fire. Historically Hurrem is one of the most powerful and influential women of the Ottoman dynasty. Please comment if I say anything wrong. I will try my best to keep personal opinions of characters at bey. But as you will read on it is difficult not to take sides. I have started the synopsis whilst on episode 115. I will log back and rewatch the show and add the synopsis for the previous episodes Warning the synopsis will hold spoilers. Short story

I walked towards his chamber and a knot formed on my stomach thinking about our intimate moments. Still his eyes never leaves a chance to find something and tease me. Saying so he lifted the five years old boy in his embrace. " Ammi said she's having someone with whom I can play in her stomach." He said happily and I could see how Sultan s emotions changed in a minute. I know what's coming on my way. He will leave me AGAIN. " I will meet you at evening my Sultana. Go to your chambers and take rest for sometime. Let's celebrate it Sultana , give gifts to every concubine in the Harem. " I carresed my stomach. I'm sorry my child . You aren't unlucky because your dad left us. You are unlucky because your born to an unlucky Princess. Zaara considered herself as an unlucky Princess ! But Is she the unlucky Queen ?

Sultan Orhan who got on the throne at the age of 17, has a lot to contend with. His mother, Ayşe Neslişah, has a really bad disease from whom she has been suffering for years. the Sultan loves a lot his mother and he will fulfill every wish of hers. Her last wish is to see her son happily in love and with descendants to continue the dynasty. Dozens of girls get presented to the Sultan, but he only likes one named Sofia, however she has a problem.
