He enjoys the privileges of his rank, unwilling to risk them by attempting a landing on the planet they have been orbiting for years. Ralph, his younger brother, has spent his life in Pete's shadow, tinkering with the half-forgotten technology of their starship. And he is eying the planet below them with longing. He decides that it is time to start the descent. The starship's name is Last Hope. The Earth has changed It all began with an unexpected collision with a star. The Earth our own very star has become a wasteland and many have died, those who are alive need to survive. Soon humans began to discover that disaster, and extinction weren't the only things the star had brought. Some have begun to develop inhuman abilities. Enhanced senses, telekinesis, mind reading. The rarest of all are elemental who have taken over this new Earth into their own hands. I am a survivor and an elemental, the most dangerous one alive. I have chosen to stay in hiding with the humans, that stayed humans, because I knew I would be loved or hated, and given responsibilities and expectations a 17-year-old like me shouldn't get. A new threat is arising, however, the animals that survived have become savage evolved along with their knowledge. Led by the previous smartest animals who have gotten smarter and evolved from dolphins to owls or monkeys. Land, sea and air are no longer safe and the animals are planning a takeover. Now I'm sucked into something I never wanted, fighting against savage animals to save our new earth and on the run from the elemental ruler and the law. My life is coming apart thanks to a human an inhuman and a very annoying elemental that I have to count on to be safe. My name is Venus follow me as I show you what happens when stars cross.

A noirish look at a nuclear winter. Every Tuesday he climbs outside their tunnel and through the old bus and sits on top, in a beach chair, to remember. And today the snow's falling. He remembers how his family was killed in the cold front when the military finally found their rebel hideout. . . The land is covered in snow - who knows how, maybe a bomb, maybe the ice caps melted (highly unlikely), whatever the cause, the snow's freezing to the point of burning. Come, won't you visit this land for just a moment?

It takes approximately thirty seconds for almost all of the Earth's population to fall asleep. This is not usual. One man stays awake. This is even stranger. He's not a hero. This is considerably more normal. Because really, why would you want someone who actually knows what they're doing to save the planet?

Though she does not realize it, Myrae Clemans is very special. She's special because she is one of the first designer babies to ever be born. Her parents, who are scientists, specially edited her genes to create what they would deem their "ideal" child. And, they were successful. Well, almost. To me, stories are like sparks jumping out of a fire. They are lightening flashes, which last for a second but leave you dazed and dreaming for more. Every now and then I get these brilliant flashes in my mind which I feel compelled to share with anyone willing to read. I feel Wattpad is the perfect platform for short stories and I’ll be updating this collection randomly. Be sure to check back. I won’t be writing in a specific genre. Everything goes. Reality. Reality is what separates the real from the fake. The true from the false. The fact from the fiction. What if reality came crashing down, bringing all the dimensions down with it? This is 1 act of 5 to be released, specifically for the Sci-Fi contest.

stock-still /ˈstɒkˈstɪl/: To be frozen, rooted, static, paralyse or inert. The date is 2090, things are different. The world entered to a futuristic era, and now not only humans live in the planet. Something happened that made the life as people in the past knew, be long forgotten.

Massive dynamics has developed a new biological and medical tool. With this invention they promised to give immortality to the human kind. One of their patient has test out this new tool. Through her diary she tells how Massive dynamics has changed her life for better, or worse.

When the Proxima Secret Service uncovers a plot to contaminate the home planet with a deadly pathogen, Agent Nasani and her team are the last line of defence. With the Proximalympics underway, Nasani must master the proxathlon and its notorious four stages, eliminate the threat with extreme prejudice, and maybe win herself a Palladium Star medal.

It's the year 2173. A random dude named Dave Phillips had made a remarkable discovery almost two hundred years prior, leaving the world very different. A company standing tall in the city? Check (uh, duh, everyone has a building in the city). Ability to twist, manipulate and switch the weather around? Check (okay that's a little weird). A portal leading to a parallel universe? Check (uh . . . ?). A lobby full of possible clients? Check (huh? That ain't no science fiction). Only one name for a place like that: Dave's Seasonal Weather Anomalies. ~*~*~*~ Please note that this was written for a sci-fi competition (Massive Dynamic to be specific) so that's why it's really short.
