Roots new number finds them a small guest in the subway - Shaw has a change of heart, and is also unexpectedly good with children.

Shaw doesn't know why but the minute Finch says 'at any cost' she knows what to do, where to go. She is eighty percent sure - maybe, seventy percent, seventy-five - if Root is still alive then Shaw knows where she would go.

I'm not totally happy with most of this so I'm posting it here before it goes on ao3 so that you guys can be my beta readers. Constructive criticism is welcomed! (The title is a work in progress, okay.)
