A game. That's what it was, or what it was supposed to be. It's become bigger than that, and they all know it. The royals all participate in the game, unknowingly or not, and they are all strictly aware that one wrong move will lead to their demise. The figurative name of the game is lying and deception. Cheating is practically a requirement; those who play fair never win. Virgil Lancaster remained blissfully unaware of this game's existence until the night of the Sunstrix Gala. Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton, Roman, Virgil, try to push them further apart. Edit- 06/02/21 this was one of the first things I tried to properly write, it isn't that great but it does show how much I've improved and I find that cool now that I've gotten over most of my embarrassment about it. (Also I'm not editing anything this thing is beyond saving anyway-)

*Some Time Ago* *??? POV* ???: NO! DON'T HURT THEM! I'LL DO ANYTHING JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE! The women in front of me stops for a second. ?: Hmm... Interesting, what do you propose? I will protect them. ???: My life for theirs. I'd trade my life for theirs anyday. Without hesitation. ?: How do you know I won't kill them once you're gone? She takes another step towards them, her hand glowing a deep red. ???: You may be evil, but you're always loyal to you're deals. She thinks for a bit. ?: Alright, fair enough. We have a deal. She walks towards me with her hand now glowing blue and reaches out. I can hear them yelling, but I will protect them. ???: Deal. We shake hands. I immediately start screaming and fall to my knees. I use my last bit of strength to glance over at them. They're gone. That means they're safe and back home. I smile lightly as I black out. *?? POV* ??: Such a selfless act that deserves to rewarded. I'll see you soon my boy. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Roman Sanders is typical 15 year old, ya know, minus the red eyes. He also sees ghosts... ok so maybe not the typical 15 year old, but he does his best. Anxiety has always been a cast out. Everyside is born with a power. Roman has the ability to create small holographic creatures. Logan has Telepathy and can Read Minds. Patton has the power to bring plants and animals to life, to grow stuff. All of their powers made sense to their trait. Roman can create ideas so it makes sense for him to create holograms. Logan is very centered and smart so something to do with the mind makes sense. And Patton being the fatherly trait it's perfectly understandable for him to grow and raise life. But Virgil, his power doesn't make sense. Why would a paranoid, nervous, fearful, anxious trait have wings?

janus/ decite goes to a new school after being bullied because of his vitiligo when he gets there easily he is noticed by the popular boys (roman, patton, and logan) later he meets the two opposites of the popular boys (remus and Virgil) janus wasn't to fawns of them either but that's not going to stop remus from making a new friend
