Akriaen was one of four beasts created by the Goddess Hylia to protect the land of Hyrule. Alongside her sisters (Krekrious, Tallikian, and Sazackia) Akriaen takes a vessel and a name down in the land of mortals. During the course of time, she became corrupted by the darkness and cast down to live amongst the mortals. This story is her most recent incarnation within Breath of the Wild. She really figured he'd be more refined, even after being asleep for so long, but she's dismayed to find that not only does he have the manners of a cretin, but his vocal chords seemed to sustain serious damage from his battle 100 years ago. Or in which, reader is a demigoddess and if she doesn't guide Link on his journey to defeat Ganon and save the world then Hylia will strip her of her status.
