    The government set up the 'Expiration' policy in 2020 as an experiment to find out if it would improve the high population and increasing levels of unemployment and poor housing. It means that when people are born they are given a timer, this is when you will die and during this time you must fulfil certain tasks. If you rebel you will be killed. This short story follows the Protagonist Aiden Miller through the form of a diary throughout his struggles in this new society. After his parents are murdered and Aiden becomes the property of the State he decides to document his experiences as a way of escape, whilst hoping for an actual escape. A dystopian short story which tackles the issues or humanity, control, freedom, power of the state and more.     In the year 2030 the world is over-populated, under-fed and on the brink of societal collapse. Enter Bio-Gen Experimentals Corporation. Their genetically modified vaccine, the Eve Vaccine, radically changes the world population. The vaccine works so well it tips the scales in the opposite direction. With the human race facing extinction one young girl has the key to salvation, but will she live long enough to save us all?
