"What are those!?" The demon was looking at something behind her. She turned around but saw nothing. "I mean the w-w- things on your back" "You mean my babies!" Her voice rose to a high-pitched note on the last word. "These are Ravens X5 the latest generation of technological wings. Their battery can last for a whole month and can be recharged using water, sunlight or, you will never believe this, stardust. You can fly in the sky and even in space without them crushing under the pressure. Oh, and it gets better." "I don't it does." The demon murmured and clutched his necklace. She ignored him and announced triumphantly, "they only weight 2 kg each !" She continued to ramble on and on. The demon expanded his wings and touched them. He had made they hadn't turned into metallic piece of junk. Wings were sacred. He took off. Who is the angel and who is the demon, he wondered for the umpteenth time since the beginning of their journey --------------------------- A love so forbidden it was unspeakable. Who would have ever thought an Angel would fall for a Demon?

Humanity is right in the middle of an epic battle between heaven and hell. Standing on the sidelines are the laziest man on earth and the President of the United States who just might be the savior, the antichrist or both. Personally, I think we're all doomed. ------------------------------------------------------- This is my first attempt at the Open Novella Contest where you choose a prompt and write a novella. The prompt I chose: "Heaven and Hell collide once again. The War Demons march to meet the Battle Angels in a struggle for dominance over the Human Realm." I almost chose the prompt which involved taking a cow for a walk, but come on. Battle Angels! Heck yeah. Moo!

Rumor around town said that the shop in the deep alley of the market is very strange. It has no sign and no customers. No one knows when it is there and a precious few dare to step inside... Dominique visits the shop on Korova Avenue often, but no one ever sees her. That's the only way. No one will follow her, or ask questions, until she meets Crow. Crow enters the shop on a dare, unaware of what the mysterious facade holds. He never would have guessed that the girl hiding in the shadows would see something different in him. Crow's special and Dominique's determined to find out why, but will it cause her to loose the home and friends she's always known? Angie and her friend Julia get transferred to a new orphanage after their pervious one got shut down for unknown reasons. They arrive at the new orphanage and the number 1 ground rule was that nobody was allowed to go into the attic under any circumstances. Curiously Angie and Julia go around asking why they are not allowed in the attic. Everyone they ask seems to be terrified of the attic and they don't want to speak about it. One day Angie and Julia go into the attic of the orphanage without anyone knowing to find out why they're not allowed in there. On their mission they find a mysterious red door at the back/ end of the attic. Angie and Julia decide to open the door to see what's on the other side. What happens when they open that door? And what do they find on the other side of the door?
