A mysterious being has appeared in France, and, although assumes a heroic position, is also feared for their brute force and ferociousness. Tristan Morgenstein, a famous detective, returns to Paris after a year of living in Lyon, and turns out to not only sympathize with Gevaudan, but also to have worked with them in the past. Now, as Tristan faces suspicion for his association with the being, he is pressured into discovering their identity, while he works with Gevaudan to find out who has been really terrorizing France.
