I wanted to start a new book where right when something unexpected happens, they end up here. Some people are in the same book, some are not. Stormy Black, Milly Opal, Aspen Green, and Jordan Correl are all from this book originally, Alex Bibbilo is from "The Adventurous Life of Alex Bibbilo," Maggie and Gypsy Greyson are from "the Guardian Angel that Never Came," Gemmery Jackson and Ben Sharp are from "Galaxy Girl," Joey Fletcher is from "Dancing in the Storm," Will Becker and Jack Willow are from "Searching for Max," Cori Bensen and Mateo Ramerez are from "The Girl Called Mango," and Connie Amber Netting is from "Back When it Was Just Me." She moves in with Xander, a dorm mate from college, and navigates this new life, including the Queer Dating Scene for the first time.

Every bartender in town knows Mark, the raucous drunk who never runs out of crazy stories to tell. He's easy to spot, since he's a few generations younger than most regular bar patrons, and he's easy to remember, since he's such a big tipper. They know Mark to be the caricature of an average, every-day drunk, minus thirty or forty years. Mark doesn't know much about himself - or much of anything, for that matter. But he's pretty sure about one thing: he's invincible. After years of living a life of detachment from the rest of the world, a series of events and a hodgepodge of acquaintances force Mark to stand up to his own mortality, or be run over by it. Will Mark's story have a happy ending, and does he even know what one would look like? The answer: probably not.

Little does Chike know that this new world she has stumbled into is tricking her. With vampires by her side, what could go wrong?!
