Charlie's friendship with Matthew is everything to her; he's one of her best friends besides her roommate Evelina. They spend as much time as they can together, go home with each other from nights out when there's no one else to go home with, are constantly talking to each other. Charlie loves Matthew, but only as a friend. Evelina thinks, and knows, otherwise.
