Life of Maria and her little brother shadow

Shadow's life with Maria was great, amazing even. Maria felt like a sister to him, and although she was a bit older, Shadow still acted like her older brother. He loved her. She meant everything to him. (To clear things up: Yes, Shadow was created. Likely around eleven when he was 'born,' and continued to age up from then. Maria is a bit older when she 'leaves.')

Shadow the Hedgehog becomes extremely depressed after witnessing Maria's death. After many attempts of trying, Shadow's family and friends can never seem to cheer him up.
