Dreamgates is a project that I have been working on for years now. An idea that has exploded into many branching concepts that I don't think I've seen anyone put together in a story before. It has its ties to the internet based urban legend known as the Backrooms, but takes a mighty big twist on the concept. Simply because 1). I of course want to write an original story, and 2). It has grown beyond simply existing in a world of liminal spaces and has grown as I have grown. I have always seen people argue whether or not the Backrooms should have monsters in it. Keep the liminality! The psychological horror is where it stands the strongest! And I agree to an extent. Dreamgates will have both, in balance, but aside from being a horror story- it will be heavily character driven. A sci fi fantasy mystery. A deep look into philosophy and culture and the fate of the universe. It will be mind bending. A survival game. A battle royale. A hunt. And a show. A world full of dark horrors both man and monster.
