(Being Rewritten) The rationale for many secrets that end up leading to consequences is either 'It's a small thing, it won't matter.' or 'It's for the better of everyone.' There are also unfortunate cases where one secret leads to another until you're left in a situation of your own oblivious creation. After crash-landing on Earth, Turquoise and Emerald find themselves in the strange yet beautiful Beach City. The Crystal Gems don't trust them, and Emerald is slowly growing apart from her best friend. Nothing seemed to be going right in her life. But she has an aloof, overly-exuberant kid named Steven to show her the ropes. Things can't be all that bad, right?

Lars smokes ... But now he sees wildflowers in his cigarette box ...

After he and Connie break up, Steven thinks about his relationship with Lars in more than a friendly way. (The title doesnt have much to do with the story but i love mcr and this quote)
