Their shared background helped them advance quickly, and during their rookie year they began dating-marrying just two years later. By 2009, Tim had earned his promotion to Training Officer while Natalie was tapped for Detective, fast-tracked into Narcotics, and partnered with her Academy friend, Isabel Blake. But by 2019, everything had changed. Isabel's struggle with addiction began in 2016, and Nat had gone deep undercover in a cartel ring-six months in when a new wave of rookies joined the LAPD. the rookie inspired fanfic. A young female officer who had been raised by her aunt but at the age of 10 she got put into foster care. She didn't understand at that time that her aunt Rossie was Rosalind Dyer a serial killer. She just assumes her aunt abandoned her. Her father murdered her mother on the day she was born.

What if The Rookie group was in high school? Lucy, Tamara, Celina, Jackson, Genny, and Angela are all Juniors (11th) in High School. The rest are all seniors (12th). Lucy has a really good relationship with her parents.
