"You're talented, Kaveh," Alhaitham said simply. "Frustratingly impractical, financially irresponsible, and prone to self-sabotage, but talented. Alhaitham has spent his life believing that rules exist for a reason-and that attachment is a liability no knight can afford. Being assigned as personal guard to the Crown Prince only confirms it. Kaveh is reckless, idealistic, infuriatingly kind, and entirely unsuited for the way the world works. He challenges authority, questions duty, and looks at Alhaitham like he expects more than obedience. Somewhere between sharp words, shared silence, and a journey that leaves no room for distance, Alhaitham makes a mistake. He chooses Kaveh. And once a rule is broken, nothing remains untouched.

"Grand Sage Alhaitham!" Alhaitham turned around slowly and replied, "What?" The scholar, either dumb and imperceptive or uncaring, pressed on and continued to annoy Alhaitham. Alhaitham guessed the latter, as the former wasn't likely, considering the fact that he worked for the Akademiya. But then again, given Azar's previous hiring policies, it wouldn't exactly surprise Alhaitham if the scholar had barely passed his thesis statement. Despite the difficults he faces during his hundred years of living, he continues on as the same, ordinary Kaveh. He learns more about the Hydro dragon and even becomes friends with him. Will Kaveh and Alhaitham stay positive and strengthen their relationship after meeting the Hydro dragon? Or will it all go down hill tue moment they step into the Hydro nation?
