But as the well known tale went in the original Gatsby, the two were split, and Rose Carraway felt an extreme loss, clamming herself up, never allowing herself to love again. Withering in the depths of her own garden, wilting away with every sob and gasp, drying herself up. Until her sun walked in - her brother, Nick Carraway, lifted her up and nursed her to health. But this time, Rose Carraway expresses promise, new beginnings, and hope. Her strongly built thorns defending her heart, building her strength, never letting a man handle her gruesomely. Literally just a story about the two dogs in F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece that is The Great Gatsby. Because dogs are so much better than humans, honestly. This fanfiction is satirical, but there are some darker themes in it, notably animal abuse, just to warn anyone who reads this (I assume that is nobody).

She fell in love with how charming and sweet he could be but what will she do when Gatsby is murdered? Nick is the only one who was there for him in her time of need. What will happen? Will she move on?

Listen, we all know Nick and Gatsby are seen by a lot of people (including yours truly) as very homosexual. And anyone that knows me knows that I struggle with bringing myself to write predominantly sad stories. So for now you, dear reader(s?), and I can pretend that Daisy was a little better at driving, Gatsby came to terms with Daisy being out of reach (and with his own sexuality), and instead of us interpreting Nick and Jay as gay for each other, they are very, very explicitly gay for each other as they find when they spend more time together and away from the deceit of people they once thought of more kindly.

Each chapter is going to be just bits and pieces of text I have been working on in the last few months and maybe in the future I will write a few more chapters from the short story I attempted to write a year ago in my laptop
