He loses the rose-coloured glasses he'd had on pretty quickly, learns not all Slytherins ae evil, and widens his circle of friends beyond Ron and Hermione. He also realises that he has people at his side who would do anything to help him, so he doesn't shoulder everything on his own. Conflict had been rising throughout the year due to Harry being a fourth, and underage, competitor, but the rumours surrounding Cedric's death had been too much. There's suddenly quite a handful of Hufflepuffs with a newfound resentment towards Potter, and by extension the red and gold house in it's entirety. Ravenclaw is torn 50-50. Slytherin and Gryffindor are arguing as always. Headmaster Dumbledore comes up with one of his greatest plans to date..
