They get a job from Marlene to deliver a girl named Ellie to fireflies, Unknown to them, Marlene hired another person to accompany them on their journey. She quickly becomes close with Ellie, but is wary of Joel. Throughout the story the two (Joel and the OC) have similar experiences and have a similar past. Something happens, something sparks in their relationship...
