So I have this giant binder where I copy down English notes from years past and writing advice I come across and recently, I've realized the pages are coming out, so I decided to put it on Wattpad so I can go back and read it if I need to, and for other people to read. um, I have most of the sources and if you know any that I haven't put the sources down for, please tell me who posted them, and I'll add it in. . ☆ ͡ ݂ as i've read through some of the stories on here, i've noticed a few things. a lot of you don't really have a great grasp on the basics of grammar, and while wattpad is for beginner writers, i feel like this might help you guys improve your skills. i've been writing as a personal hobby for over six years, and my writing has been refined into something that i'm proud of! i want to help you get to the same level of relationship with your writing as i have, even if you already feel confident in your skills. i want you to know this is not a critiquing process. don't feel obligated to read this. it's just something you can save and look back on if you ever need help, or a reminder. i'm not a teacher. i might even share some of my own writing. who knows! have fun! <3

Oxford commas. To use, or not to use, that is the question. This book seeks to answer that question and more, with examples and just a touch of humor. Just a touch. !!! This book is currently on hiatus for summer break. Will resume writing in August. !!! Note: this book follows the American grammar rules.

Do you need help with punctuation? Are you worried you don't know where to put commas and where capitals? Do you need help with dialogue? Well, here you'll find it! I'll try to explain things the best I can, providing examples as well. There seems to be a lot of demand for this, and I might as well give it a nice format too. :)

So I've noticed that A LOT of stories on here have less than perfect grammar... There are those perfect works from heaven with amazing grammar, but the latter dominates so here's some help! It may also be useful if you're trying to learn English! (P.s. If that applies to you, I wish you luck and I hope you can understand what this says. Learning a new language can be difficult but I know you can do it!)

Just a bit of quick grammar lessons and also things that help me write. The writing tips are in no way universal laws, just things I go by. They might help you too. I'll always signify whether the "chapter" is a grammar or writing lesson in the chapter titles.

My purpose as a beta-reader is to help you make your story the best it can be. Sometimes, that means giving it a quick once-over and tweaking grammar, and other times it means making comprehensive editing suggestions. I am prepared to be whatever you need, writing-wise, for your story, from a fresh set of eyes to a critique partner.
