This approaching blindness, along with his teacher's long buried secrets, would pave a path of thorns for their relationship. (strictly platonic)

This is a short story I submitted to a writing competition. The requirements were: [2,000 words max A recurring memory An uncharacteristic hobby A change in plans] When a frog-hunting trip turns into a fateful encounter, a solitary witch navigating a change of plans meets a warmhearted blacksmith who crafts more than just horseshoes. Drawn together by muddy boots, unexpected laughter, and glimmers of something deeper, the two discover that love-like magic-often appears when you're not looking for it. Set in a sun-dappled meadow full of frogs and fate, this short story is a gentle tale of enchantment, connection, and the quiet magic of falling in love.

Cinta pertama selalu indah, tapi tidak semua cinta pertama diciptakan untuk dimiliki. Aku belajar itu sejak mengenalnya.
