After rekindling the first flame, Edgar's body and soul was used as kindling, being burnt into nothingness. This is where the story should have ended, where Edgar ceased to be. But fate had another plan. Centuries later humanity is on the brink of fading once again, but not due to the fire, but themselves. As the bombs drop everything is destroyed, buildings, nature, animals, and people. The world as we knew it was burned to ashes, and a new age began as the survivors rebuilt. That is, until someone found what remained of the kiln of the first flame, and the man in metal armor sitting by a fire in the center.

The unkindled are called when the first flame is threatened, and it is their duty to reignite it. Some, however, aren't cut out for such tasks. Some are there to play a more supportive role in the great quest of the undead. One such being is Edgar, an undead swordsman in the cemetery of ash. He is not a skilled fighter, barely able to fight a hollow on his own, but he has a bright smile and hope for the future, despite how bleak the world may be. Edgar waits in the fire link shrine, ready to help the ashen one in any way they can. But while they are waiting, a certain maiden cstches his eye... After replaying dark souls I noticed that all the likable and basic npc's seemed to have tragic endings. But what if that was different? You'll have to wait to find out. For now, you'll join the Ashen One on her/his journey through this wretched world.

After the flame finally died down, a world has come to an end. But, what happens to the keeper of the flame? Feels like I should clarify Volume 1 is nothing much. Just generic mcu stuff. No additional plot or any other stuff. Volume 2 is for further dark souls stuff and the intro for the start of my own plot. Volume 3 consists of the addition of bloodborne and more of my own plot. Volume 4 ???
