"No." I allowed myself to laugh at his futile attempts. "I think you're lying." He gave me a lopsided grin. "Unless," he whispered moving his face closer to mine so that our noses were millimeters apart from touching, "It's," his lips hovered slightly over mine. I could feel my self restraining from his gravitational pull. My heart pounded heavily and I could swear he could hear it, or sense my chest rising and falling with every breath. "this one?" He placed a card in between our lips and kissed the card. I closed my eyes in defeat. When I opened them again, he was no longer there. The card was in fact the Ace of roses. I looked to see if there were any signs of him, but the court joker was no where to be seen, save for the warmth that began to dissipate with the chill afternoon air.
