I feel soon
I will sink
Into you
What do you think?
Cause there's still blood
In your hair
I've got the bruise
Of the year
But there's something about her

A new year at Hogwarts should be fun, right?
Usually they are but this year isn't something you could exactly call "fun". Every student is caught in
fear when in only the second week of school a student goes missing. After that student, many more begin to disappear swallowed by shadows no spell can illuminate. Voldemort at hearing this sends his own son Matthe Riddle to track down the monster responsible. Matthes accepts, the task seems quite intriguing and monsters are familiar territory after all.
But Elara Morgan is not.
She slips in his thoughts like a blade sliding beneath his ribs- quiet, precise, impossible to remove. Every time he tells himself to focus on his task, her name crawls back into his mind like a whispered obsession. She is still, too calm, too amused by chaos. Her eyes don't just look at him-they read him, peel him apart layer by layer.
Matthe begins to suspect he's not the hunter in this game.
He feels watched even in empty corridors. He senses patterns in the disappearance- patterns only someone disturbingly intelligent could create. Someone who enjoys control. Enjoys him.
The closer he gets to, the more the truth claws at him: the darkness he's tracking is not hiding in the forbidden forest or lurking in the shadows.
It lives in the castle.
It's already found him.
It knows what he's done.
And it knows his name.
