Damali is a vision, a person with the ability to see into the soul of others, and on top of that, she is of a dying kind; she is a dark soul. Eight years ago, the dark and the light souls had lived in not harmony, but a mutual respect of each other’s powers. However, that all changed on the day of the purge, the day that the light souls challenged and defeated the dark souls in the name of purity and good. Since that day, two fortunate survivors, Damali and her adopted brother Jaxton, have hidden, and tried only to survive.
One night everything changes. Damali comes in contact with a light soul that also happens to be the son of the most powerful of his kind: the White Seer. This chance encounter sparks a chain reaction that leads to revelations as Damali struggles with the growing darkness within herself and the true meaning of evil.
The lines may have been drawn between good and evil, but just because a man is supposed to be good, does not mean he does not live with evil. Damali’s story of love, betrayal, and murder will blur definitions, and force herself to either embrace or fight her destiny.
