In a perfect galaxy, they ALL could have lived happily ever after in peace... Something every single one of them deserved considering the chaotic, brutal, and tumultuous lives they had lived. If only the galaxy was such an ideal and picturesque place. My little tribute in honor of The Bad Batch now that the final episode has aired... Some fluff... I really love and appreciate The Bad Batch in so many ways. The show truly resonated with me (as well as many others)... It's incredibly powerful when a work of art is able to evoke such reactions and emotions. Not often do I get so attached to characters like I did with the members of the Batch. I'm going to miss this series a lot! -Slight SPOILERS for the finale in this upcoming blurb : DO NOT READ unless you've seen TBB series finale!!! I'm uploaded this to Ao3 on May 1st, 2024 - aka the day the series finale was released... The vast majority of this was written before the last episode aired... I am posting this story after having watched it though... Due to that, I had no idea what tone the ending would be while writing this. I wrote this in an effort to manifest a happy ending for the Batch (therefore naturally Tech being included), as well as to have something wholesome to think about if things didn't go the way they did. After watching the finale, I added some additional aspects. I am very touched by the way the show ended, so this story will be somewhat of an AU I guess. When they arrive, they decide to do some investigating on what the Empire is planning for the galaxy. During their research, however, they discover something more disturbing than they could imagine. If you want to read a slow burn about Crosshair, this is for you. It is completely cannon compliant and fun to read if you have seen the first season. It fits into the season as if it was always a part of what was happening. What if Crosshair stays with the empire because he has more there that just being a good soldier to come back to? Written in novel format based on Season 1 of the Bad Batch, this is a platonic romance that dives into the darkness of what Kamino has done to the clones and what the future holds for them after Order 66 and the enactment of War-Mantle. As an author, I enjoy looking deeper at the issues of interpersonal drama woven together with politics.
