Credence Barebone has never known love. Never knowing his true parents and falling victim to abuse, both physical and emotional, he has retreated into his own shell. Newt finds Credence after the Aurors blasted apart the Obscurus (yes, it's one of those fics), and Credence is having a bit of a hard time with the transition, so to speak. Credence has never stayed with such nice people, or seen magic used in such a mundane and harmless way. Or had someone believe him when he told them he's not a girl. It can't be real, can it? That potion that Newt talks about-the one that can change your body... how is that even possible? That Newt is so unfailingly kind and understanding-he has to want something from Credence, right? ...Right? And that Newt Scamander-what was the word?-"fancies" him? Ridiculous. ...Isn't it?

Credence x Newt. Written from Newt Scamander's teenage perspective in modern times

Newt may not be overly familiar with the American wizards and witches, however he is all too aware of what they will do to anything that they class as 'dangerous'. He knew that they would want the Obscurial destroyed, as far as they were concerned there was no way to safely control them - therefore they could see no alternative. Newt knows better. He couldn't do anything for the girl in the end but this one, this one he would save. He would find a way.

Credence woke up after a nightmare and Newt was there for him. One-shot. Pairings: Crewt / Credence/Newt Warnings: a panic attack scene and food Words: 1400

Credence hates when Graves hurts Newt, so he does something about it, he uses the Obscurial against Graves, he protects Newt. He feels the anger of Graves' betrayal, feels the fear that he has of his adoptive mother, of himself. He feels everything and feeds it to the Obscurus. OR A different version of the subway scene in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. One where Credence isn't hurt by MACUSA.
