The ending we all wanted beginning when Steve Harrington falls off the WSQK. With meaningful charter progression, i hope to provide a satisfying and meaningful ending to the show we've all loved for 10 years.

The series ended abruptly. Not all of us were satisfied. As a #byler4life , I definitely wasn't. So here's a post-s5 story. Everything is back to as it was 5 years ago, before November 6th, 1983. Hawkins, the places, the people, have all, almost healed. For the people of Hawkins, it was just a 'Natural Calamity', but we all know what it was. The only thing that remains are the memories, and their shared trauma. Along with healing, many more emotions from THE HEART come to light. We are gonna go further beyond their graduation. Will we finally get what we wanted? Or do we have to go on many more adventures before finally getting there? STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT.

You'll see, there are similarities, but also some changes. I think the first 4 episodes are nearly the same, but then, when Volume 2 starts, it will be veeeery different. Enjoy it!

mike wheeler is graduating high school. his friends are beside him, his life is ahead of him, but nothing feels right. he can't seem to ignore his best friend's eyes, he can't stop himself from looking like his father, and everything is empty. dull. it's grief, maybe, or something he can't name. will byers is facing the end of the world, and his best friend isn't beside him anymore. he hasn't lived without mike since he was five years old, and he really doesn't know how to go about it. grief pins him down, hope lifts him up, and he finds each in the ever-white eyes of mike wheeler. each boy decides to do something about it. (or, a conformitygate fic centered on byler.) the title is (sorta) from pink in the night by mitski. this is updated irregularly, but probably mostly on weekends. the chapter count is not set in stone, but should be about right. crossposted to ao3, which i prioritize. thank you for reading :)

The alternative ending for Stranger Things, the timeline is different, and things aren't adding up. Can the party figure it out before the Mindflayer takes over the world? (Note, there are obvious flaws in this timeline, they are intentional)

Mike Wheeler thought he had survived the worst of it. Years after the fall of Vecna and the death of Eleven, Mike is trying to live a normal life-working, sleeping, eating, moving forward. But grief doesn't fade the way it's supposed to. His nights are haunted by dreams of Eleven calling to him from somewhere impossibly far away, and his days are filled with moments where reality feels... wrong. When Mike reconnects with his old friends, he realizes he isn't alone. They're seeing it too: visions of the Upside Down, flashes of a world that shouldn't exist, and the unmistakable feeling that something is watching from just beneath the surface of their lives. Then Eleven appears. She tells Mike the truth-she isn't dead, the world around them is an illusion, and the only way to escape is to wake up. When Mike does, he finds himself in a ruined world where the war was never truly won. Vecna survived by invading their minds, convincing them they had succeeded, and staging Eleven's death to keep them compliant. Now the boundaries between worlds have collapsed, the Mind Flayer feeds on human energy, and the truth may be more dangerous than the lie. To survive, Mike will have to face the reality he's been hiding from-and decide whether waking up is worth what waits on the other side.

This takes place in 1990 where Mike and the party went their own seperate ways, living in comfort and happiness. Mike still living with his parents decides to still write his novel about his adventures to cope with the loss of Eleven. Until something seems out of the ordinary to him, and he must bring everyone back for one last adventure.

While I dislike Season 5 far less than others, in particular the finale, there are a number of story routes I wish they'd gone and things they'd covered that seemingly get brushed over. I also didn't love a number of the explanations, such as the answer to what the Upside Down is amongst others. I also would have liked more of a narrative focus on the OG characters as opposed to new ones like Holly, Derek, etc. So, without further ado, here is Stranger Things Season 5 rewritten.

- This is my rewrite of stranger things season 5 because the duffer brothers genuinely got a lobotomy or something before writing season 5. -The whole premise of the season is going to change as I hated the way they just "patched" up the massive gaping hole -I am mostly going to focus on Mike and Will's POV because I want them and the main four to be the center of the show again, reminicent of season 1. -Byler is going to be canon and I am going to write it very realistically from who I perceive the characters to be thus far. -I haven't written a fanfic in a while so please bear with me as I get back into writing -Enjoy!

WAKE UP is a script-fanfic that works as an alternative final episode, exploring trauma, denial, sacrifice, and weaving together the loose ends of the fifth season.
