After the incident, he was left and shunned by society for having a "Villainous" quirk because of the circumstances in which it was manifested. Especially by hero's and their offspring. It all happened right after Izuku had barely gotten his quirk he and his mom got caught up in a hostage situation and didn't end on a good note. Izuku was angry at himself for not doing anything sooner and has a burning hatred for villains.
