Takes place in the Shadowhunters TV world, not the books. After finding out Sebastian is actually her brother, Clary finds Jace in his room to tell him about Sebastian kissing her. She is in an emotionally vulnerable spot, Jace can see this and comforts her.

What if Simon didn't go to Clary's room and find Jace and Clary kissing? What if Clary didn't say "we were just kissing." During City of Bones. Disclaimer- I own nothing... except the storyline!
