    This is just a random collection of thoughts/poems about synaesthesia, a neurodiversity I can never find enough information on. (It is one of my special interests, you have been warned.) Feel free to ask me anything/ask for anything. I would love to hear from other synesthetes, and interested people. Think in rainbows!

    「𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓁𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜?」 「𝒜 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝒻𝓊𝓁𝓁 𝑜𝒻 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝑜𝓇𝓈...」 ~~~ On one nondescript morning, while waiting for the bus and listening to her favorite song, Lee Chaerin met a peculiar boy named Kim Seokjin. Unlike Chaerin, who believes the world is dull, yet can see multitudes of colors from the music she hears, he saw beauty and joy in every corner and longed to know the shade of the sky. After an incident where Chaerin relished just an appetizer from the most notorious banquet called death, she soon begins being enticed by not just the boy but his wonderous music as well. Together, making new acquaintances along the way, they learn to live, to love, and to know that happiness won't last forever. This is the tale of a girl with synesthesia who longed for a life ...And a colorblind boy who longed for a purpose. (𝓘𝓷𝓼𝓹𝓲𝓻𝓮𝓭 𝓫𝔂 𝓪 𝓽𝓾𝓶𝓫𝓵𝓻 𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓽) Thank you @cherryficss for help with the summary 💜 _____________________ #2 in "Synesthesia" out of 316 stories | 12/15/2020

    Whenever Sayori heard any sort of music, she'd see little flickers of color. Different notes had a different color assigned to it. Deeper chords had cooler, darker colors while higher notes were warmer and brighter. Sayori learned how to play the Ukulele in middle school and she would write music just so she could see the colors. She would sing songs to help her cope with her depression. When she was bored at school, she would color a paper with crayons to showcase what notes she wanted to play in song. She would transfer sheet music into colors so she knew what notes to play. It was her own little secret that nobody needed to know about. She wasn't too good anyways. But what Happens when her best friend, and crush, Natsuki find out?

    As a synesthete, this is the book of my memoirs and experiences having this rare but AWESOME condition! "Synesthesia [is] a rare neurological condition in which two or more of the senses entwine. Numbers and letters, sensations and emotions, days and months are all associated with colors..." [Definition of Synesthesia from LiveScience] Comment if you're like me too, or if you just have something to say!

    Iris Hansen is a musician and artist with chromesthesia going into her sophomore year of high school. To her, each pitch is a different color, as well as every voice she hears. Her best friend's is a blazing orange the color of the the dulling leaves of autumn. Her cousin's is the soothing green found in mint-chip ice cream. Her own is a lavender, like the edges of the sky at sunrise. When she joins the marching band, she meets Dorian Meyer, her drum major and first trumpeter in the school's jazz ensemble. It wasn't until that very moment that she had wanted to immerse herself in a world of blue: the same blue that was Dorian.

    Some people have the gift of seeing bright splashes of neon paint everywhere. Their worlds are bright and glowing. Then there are the people like me. They live in a world with a messed-up artist and only a gray pen. Perhaps I hold the pen, but I can't control my mind. My story is one of mental illness and physical repercussions, of salads and breakdowns, of homes and travel, of midnight cries and recovery, of neon pens and stars. {unedited}
