The planet Velarria-renowned for its impeccable diplomacy and cultural sophistication. When Voyager arrives to negotiate for supplies, they find beauty, elegance, and fine hospitality. But beneath the surface of perfection, they uncover something hidden-a cruelty so refined, it's sold as heritage.
What follows will challenge not only Janeway's diplomatic restraint, but her sense of what it truly means to do the right thing. In a test of conscience and wits, the Voyager crew must confront a culture's polished façade-and decide how far they're willing to go for one fragile life caught in its wake.
Also now a high-quality audiobook (YouTube Video) - link in chapter 1.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Written as a heartfelt tale of quiet courage, gentle connection, and the unwavering compassion of those who choose to see what others turn away from. This is a feel-good story meant to lift your heart-and maybe leave you with a happy tear or two by the end.
ON A LIGHTER NOTE:
Starfleet. Cat ears. Emotional damage. You know the drill. 😂
Yep-it's another Voyager fanfic, and yep-there's a Neko in it. What can I say? Everyone's got their thing, and this one's mine. It's a very specific obsession, and I'm not even sorry. 😂
Just like The Mylar Cat, this one's PG-rated too-with zero sexual content, but it does contain emotional themes and references to fictional historical mistreatment.
Hope it pulls you in. If you can leave a thumbs-up and a comment, it genuinely keeps me going.
Much love,
Mary.
