Humans have always found stupid ways to kill themselves, and this just might be the stupidest. A drought hit ten or so years ago and wiped out one fifth of our country's population. There was aid to be gotten should we request it. It would have been so easy. All our leaders would have to do was to sign a sheet of paper, but of course not- no, they labelled that defeat. They didn't want to rely on "the enemy" for resources, so they came up with an alternative solution: Blue. The worst invention yet. With the help of artificial intelligence a new chemical was created, bright blue in colour; like an indoor swimming pool. A great indication of something being natural and healthy! It was said to be a filler substance with the same properties as water. After only a single use, the human body would crave it just the same as its counterpart. We'd be dependent on Blue- but just to be clear, nothing could go wrong, after all it wasn't a drug, just an alternative to water. Genius! "So, how did it go?" you ask.
