Sixteen year old Khalil Payne is legend in the video game world as his childhood best friend Charlie Landers is. Via his avatar Painkiller, Khalil is the ones of best player in the world at the video game, Hero Rising. Khalil is stunned to learn that the game is based on an actual conspiracy and that a mysterious corporation wants him and Charlie to use their gaming talents to take on the real Omega Defiance and save the world. Khalil must living a balance double life. Inspired ideas from arrowverse Black Lightning tv show.

Synopsis- After the Final Crisis and Black Lightning's final battles, two broken men stand at a crossroads. Lala, once cursed by his sins, now channels the ghosts tattooed on his body into weapons of redemption. Khalil Payne, freed from the Painkiller kill order, is reborn by Kwaku Anansi with a meta-gene fused with Ashanti magic. Both men walk the line between protector and predator-sometimes allies, sometimes rivals. Together, they redefine what it means to fight for Freeland and Akashic Valley.
