I got late diagnosed at 21. Since I found out I'm autistic I've been researching a lot about it and Autism became my Special Interest. There's still a lot of misinformation, but I also discovered many interesting things people don't know about. So I decided to write to spread more knowledge and acceptance. I'll be writing about the Autism Spectrum and also other subjects that relate to mental health and how autism shapes the way I see the world. And that's the Tea, sis (I prefer to write in english, but all chapters will also be availiable in portuguese in the story "Chá com TEA". Chá means tea in portuguese, TEA being ASD. And, as I love puns, I just couldn't help but unite the two stories this way)

When words are none other than knives Precisely, a double-edge sword When words are no telling of lives Those I tried to convey but left mute To the world ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is a compilation of poems I wrote over years. I am autistic with aspergers tendencies, also mild dislexia and Schizoid. I have an inability to convey my emotions or expressions like other people did. So, I try to write this, even now, as a media of learning. #wattys2017

(Based off of @Behrjbehr short AU drawing on TikTok) (COVER ART BY ME) "The Blood God headed down the wooden steps, turning to see his half-enderman friend standing just next to Carl's stable. Ranboo was shaking, tears streaming down his black and white face, creating fresh, painful, burns and blisters that Techno would have to find the ointment for again." 👑 Ranboo, on the autism spectrum, wakes up from his Enderwalk. Unable to verbally communicate, he goes to Techno in a panic. The Blood God helps the Ender/Blood prince calm back down.

a memoir of sorts about growing up in a lower-middle class working family. A family that buys a restaurant in South Florida in the hopes of creating a better life, only to become disconnected from eachother and, at times, from themselves. This will (hopefully) be a story about the delicate eggshells of a dysfunctional family and the people we become. At some point there will be an undercurrent of issues such as undiagnosed autism , anxiety and mood disorders. (Current possible title: "If Left Untreated:" ( pt 1 The Diner Where We Go to Die)) I categorized this as gen. Fiction. It is based on true events but obviously things will be changed, artistic licence given, etc. I have issues with dialogue. If anybody would like to help with editing I welcome it (ESPECIALLY on the dialogue front.)

For a while now, I have thought back on my experiences during school. Some teachers were great about working with me even before diagnosis. Others... to put things mildly, weren't. While some years I can't really remember well... others stick in my memory like glue. My hope with this is to shed light but also let others know they aren't alone if they have experienced things similar.

My dissertation was rated a 1:1 an it's especially helpful to read if you identify as female and have a hard time trying to get loved ones and friends to believe you have autism. That's actually a fundamental basis of my research. I knew from 12 but didn't get diagnosed until 17 because of those unfortunate social biases. I'm sharing this because I needed this when I was growing up and by "this" I mean something that is not too hard to digest, but accurate and educational, because sometimes understanding is all you need to stay afloat. My original story's title "I won't force you to love me" is kind of confrontational, so it should be interpreted as "I will not be a different person from the one I am, just to gain your approval". There are many more insights that might be added to the end, which couldn't fit in the 10-12k word limit. I'm just so excited to finally share it all, since I'm finally passed the assessment phase.

"She didn't know her happiest moments were spent unmasked..." You probably relate to this, hm? If you do, you're in the right place. If you don't, this is probably what your "weird and quirky" friend thinks of. Maybe. Perhaps.
