Aspen Delacruz isn't what you would call a devout worshiper of the seven divines, but no one can deny they know their studies. Despite avoiding the Temple of Rex, the oldest divine, as much as possible, they grew up with stories of the seven divines alongside every other child in the city of Montel. The divines are rumored to visit the world of Arcanan on occasion, given that the world itself was created as a sort of sandbox for them to preside over by their father, the Creator. Still, the last thing Aspen expected to see on the walk home from temple was a divine. The unlikely encounter sets into motion a snowball effect that turns the teenager's world upside down, pitting a sassy teen with authority issues against a celestial dysfunctional family. Rex, divine of the sun, despises humans and chained his wife to the moon. Bek, divine of light and stars, views humankind as a gift and is said to argue with Rex often. Daz, divine of weather, is a chaos-loving creator of natural disasters who views mortals as tools to destroy for his entertainment. Kel, divine of water, is curious and reserved. He keeps to himself and wonders why humans do the things they do. Leo, divine of life, specializes in plants, created half-bloods, and turned a man who beat him in a gardening contest into a half-snake. He is said to lack empathy and see everything as fodder for his experiments. Nix, divine of love, controls all emotion but is known for sexual/romantic love and passion. Vox, divine of sound, is known to be reclusive and depressed, singing sad songs where no one can hear. He may once have been more cheerful before certain events. All rights for everything but Aspen, their family, and their friend goes to Siren's Son ASMR.
