In a world where every mythology has its own universe filled with endless worlds, Japanese mythology is one threatened by Yo-kai despite its beauty. But as threats continue, Lady Yumi's organization stands as a bulwark against the relentless tides of darkness, defending villages, cities, and even entire kingdoms across Japan. Revered as a beacon of hope, Yumi's name is whispered in reverence by those she protects and feared by the creatures she hunts.
Among her elite hunters are Fyr and Valka, two siblings whose origins lie far from the universe of Japan. They hail from the frozen north, from the lands of the Vikings, a people of fire and frost, courage, and resilience. Yumi first encountered Fyr and Valka during her fateful journey through Yggdrasil, the great World Tree connecting the realms.
Moved by their courage and the plight of children facing insurmountable odds, Yumi intervened, her blade slicing through the ranks of their pursuers. When the battle subsided, she offered the siblings sanctuary in her world. Yumi brought Fyr and Valka back to Japan, where she raised them not as outsiders but as her own kin.
Under Yumi's tutelage, the siblings became extraordinary hunters. Fyr, with his fiery spirit and unmatched strength, and Valka with her agility and sharp intellect, forged their place within the organization. Yet, despite their prowess, they were met with fear, disgust, and suspicion by those who viewed them as beasts, freaks, Lady Yumi's animals, and supernatural beings.
Yumi, however, was undeterred. She stood as their shield and guide, helping them transform prejudice into respect. Through countless battles against Yo-kai, Onis, and otherworldly threats, Fyr and Valka proved their worth time and again. Their unique heritage became their strength, blending the ferocity of their Viking lineage with the discipline of Yumi's teachings.
