He plays football, he gets straight A's, everyone loves him. Except for himself. His life is perfect, but that doesn't mean he is. He wears his smile like a mask, hiding all of the pain no one would understand. He hurts but no one seems to notice, and he's fine with this. Until he just can't. What happens when he can't hide under a smile anymore? Who will be left?

Nobody understands, nobody wants to hear. Some people listen but it's hard to get the point across properly when all the thoughts going on at the same time are hard to differentiate and form into a single thought process to say out loud. Most will say there's nothing wrong because everything seems fine, words are forming in full sentences, demeanor seems normal, and feeling so sad is normal sometimes. If there were a way to explore a sick mind that looks normal from the outside, would it be worth the effort to try to understand? If there were some way to see through the eyes of someone with psychological struggles that are hard to explain and virtually invisible, wouldn't it be easier to interact with and help those people? Sick like us is the first piece of a collection of allegories that are meant to bridge the communication gap between a less common perspective and a world that can't comprehend such an inconspicuous illness.

I got inspired to write a story about the strongest typhoon in the world known as Typhoon Haiyan or known in the Philippines as Yolanda. I wasn't present during the event but I had the feeling I simply had to write my ideas down listening to the news internationally and locally. I know I shouldn't feel inspire but I am because I know they, as survivors, can stand up in their own feet if not now then tomorrow and as Filipinos, we will still smile and lend our hands to make sure they will stand up again. I would say this is my form of help as I am unable to give any financial assistance to the victims. But overall... However my ideas end... I hope you guys would appreciate it. Note: DO NOT COPY OR REPRODUCE WITHOUT MY CONSENT, AS THE AUTHOR AND THE OWNER. DO NOT BE RUDE AS IT IS NOT YOUR IDEAS AND AS RESPECT TO THE SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS. Narration is in English while the dialogue is in Filipino to maintain the Philippine essence. If you get confuse, just comment and I will respond asap. :) PrincessThirteen00™ All Rights Reserved © 2013

*Trigger warning for suicidal thoughts* The recent comments from Meghan Markle, and the response that she has received have highlighted, once again, how much stigma there is against those suffering with suicidal thoughts. If you are thinking of, or ever have thought of, ending your life, then please read this. I want you to know what it looks like to get out the other side. This is my own account of my own experience. Sending love to you all, Bea x

I wanted to make a small space for myself where I can put my feelings into words. Or maybe, I just wanted to assure myself that what I am feeling is completely normal - there are others out there feeling just as lost, distressed ,and lonely. This is a collection of my emotional phases. Writing them down has helped me understand myself better , and accept the reality that I am not okay .... but I will be ! I will make sure of it.

A poem I write whilst extremely depressed and locked in a manic depression with severe paranoia. It might seem a little dark. I am writing from the heart. Not caring about rhymes or emotions. Just completely free drafting.
