Dave and John have been friends for 4 years now, John, still oblivious to the other's affection, leads Dave to try his hardest even if the other claims he's heterosexual. When time passes and John starts to contemplate his current life, drama starts to boil up messing with his head and heart.

High school AU When Dave starts going to John's school the blue eyed dork's life changed completely. He has to face complicated feelings and choose between his friends, the question is if he'll push Dave away or pull him closer. John Egbert is just a normal boy without a voice, and his life is suddenly changed when he becomes the target of a blood-thirsty Dave Strider, who's interest becomes peaked after nearly killing the little one, and a bromance begins between the two. Dave is your stereotypical resident coolkid. Except he's not. He's a huge nerd, but most people find him intimidating, what with his shades and the fact that he doesn't talk to anyone. Or rather, that he can't talk to anyone, being mute. The two get paired together and form a close bond quite quickly, to the surprise of most of the school, but to none of their friends'.
