"Don't call me a villain, that's so bourgeois." I, Declan, am not a villain. It's so bourgeois. Like, what makes a villain? The costume? The laugh? The moustache? Well, I don't have any of those, at least, not the moustache. I am what you can call an 'Anti'. No, not the anti-hero, it's still got the word hero. Why's everything got to be so black and white? For example, the media seems to believe that if you're the one going against the person who likes to rescue cats from trees, you spend every waking moment only doing that; plotting their demise. Well, newsflash, I'm actually a human being! I have obligations! I do my own laundry, my own shopping, my own cooking! We don't all have little henchman, idiots. So, as a way to prove the media imbeciles wrong, you get to follow my exploits in the modern world. But don't worry, there's more destruction than you might think. epic cover was made by @hestians

Meet Valencia Williams, an overworked surgical intern who isn't the biggest fan of superheroes. In fact, she dislikes them almost as much as a supervillain would. But one day, she encounters Strong Man: a new, amateur superhero who's nothing like the other superheroes she's read or heard about. He's different. Mainly because his face turned white when he saw her mugger wielding a knife, and because he nearly threw up when she had to give him a tetanus shot. Strong Man's not your average superhero, that's for sure. But this unlikely hero might just have what it takes to change Valencia's mind about supers like him, and save the world from a formidable villain who's about to take center stage. Ranks/Awards: 3rd place in the Writer's Glory Awards - Humour Entries Highest ranking: #2 in #surgical

(Rewrite is going on RoyalRoad) Every dwarven city has its Spark, one that grants life to the great artifices carved into living rock and cruel steel by the god Tek himself. A machine set in motion when the turning of the world began again, Dhuldarim has survived millennia without faltering. Until now. The Spark, it seems, is going out. Divine help is impossible: the great god Tek is silent, slumbering where none can reach. The ingenuity of dwarves is their only hope of salvation. To return the Spark, a great power is needed-power that can only be found in the Deep. To trespass so into the depths of the earth is suicide even for a dwarf, but the Heartforge has spoken: Tali Khondurahl must go, and go alone. There are things that live in the Deep, they say, that dream of the red flower wielded by the dwarves. They dream...and they hate. Aided on her journey by a golem of stone, a siren freed from eternal imprisonment in the Deep, a human mage far from home, a strange deep-dweller, and a scion of her people's most ancient foe, Tali must face an evil so powerful it has survived the millenium since the Revealing without interruption, lording over a dominion of misery and subjugation. With every leg of the journey, loyalties become increasingly divided. In the end, it is her choices that shape the future of Dhuldarim and its ancient enemies alike.
