"E-excuse me... can you please help me?" The words come out small. Shaky. Pathetic enough to make Kim Mingyu stop walking. The owner of the Grand Nyxaris cruise ship slowly turns toward the trembling stranger standing near the edge of the moonlit deck, dark waves crashing violently beneath them while cold wind tears through the silence between them. Pretty. That is Mingyu's first thought. The stranger clutches the railing tightly, dressed in clothes far too expensive for an ordinary passenger yet wearing an expression that looks completely lost aboard a ship filled with predators. Mingyu approaches carefully. "And why," he asks amusedly, "would I help you?" The man hesitates before answering quietly, "Someone followed me onto the ship." Fear flickers across his face so convincingly that even Mingyu almost believes it, almost. Mingyu's eyes drag over him once more. Elegant posture. Sharp eyes hidden beneath panic. Hands too steady for someone supposedly terrified. Interesting. "And your designation?" Mingyu asks casually. The stranger freezes for half a second. "Alpha," he answers. Mingyu lets out a quiet scoff. An alpha. Looking this helpless? How embarrassing. Still, before Mingyu can walk away, the stranger suddenly reaches for his wrist with surprising desperation. "Please," he whispers again, softer this time. "I just need somewhere safe to stay for tonight." Mingyu sighs. "Name?" "Jeon Wonwoo." The stranger replies. Something shifts in the air between them, not enough to alarm Mingyu, just enough to make him curious, and Kim Mingyu has always had a weakness for dangerous things pretending to be harmless.

"Why is no one reacting to his scent?" The question brings an entire boardroom to a halt. Because the answer is obvious. Yoon Jeonghan doesn't have a scent. He never has. In a world where scent determines status, attraction, and survival, Jeonghan is an anomaly-a scentless omega. Most people pity him. Others think he's broken. Jeonghan couldn't care less. Until he meets Choi Seungcheol. A Prime Alpha with an impossibly sharp sense of smell. "Sir," his secretary says carefully, "Jeonghan has no scent." Seungcheol's gaze remains fixed on the omega. "That's impossible." Because while everyone else smells nothing- Seungcheol smells everything. A scent so intoxicating he can't ignore it. A scent that shouldn't exist. A scent only he can smell. And if Seungcheol is right, then the omega who's spent his entire life believing he's scentless may be hiding the most dangerous secret of all.

Wonwoo grew up an orphan and learned early that survival required compromise. Now in his early twenties, he lives under the roof of his uncle, a man with deep, festering ties to the criminal underworld. The arrangement is simple and cruel, obedience in exchange for safety. Wonwoo endures it not for himself, but for Chan, his younger brother, the one he raised with hands that learned tenderness before they learned how to kill. Chan is grown now, but to Wonwoo he will always be the fragile center of his world, the reason he swallows his pride and sharpens his smile. When his uncle is ready to make a power grab, he gives Wonwoo an assignment that feels more like a sentence. Kim Mingyu. A rival figure. Untouchable. Stone-cold. A man known for discipline, restraint, and violence measured in silence. Wonwoo is ordered to do what he does best: seduce, destabilize, dismantle. Bring Mingyu to his knees, not for love, not even for death, but so Wonwoo's uncle can strip him of power and rise on the wreckage. Refusal is not an option. The alternative is Chan. Wonwoo steps into the role effortlessly, heels sharp against marble, tongue sharper still. He knows how men look at him. He knows how to let them believe they're in control. But Mingyu doesn't look like the others. He watches. He waits. He doesn't reach. And that makes everything dangerous. What begins as calculated flirtation turns into something unmanageable: quiet conversations, shared silences, trust earned instead of stolen. Mingyu doesn't fall for Wonwoo's beauty, he falls for his precision, his intelligence, the way he never begs and never lies outright. Wonwoo, who has survived by never wanting too much, finds himself wanting everything. And love, it turns out, is far more treacherous than seduction.

BOOK #5 What do you get when you try to cure poison with poison? A catastrophe. Shattered glass. Screams behind closed doors. And one infuriating novelist who keeps dragging me into his worlds like I belong there. This wasn't in the fine print when I accepted the assignment. A forged identity. A counterfeit guardian. A wolf dressed in security black, slipped into the orbit of that wide-eyed storm who never stops narrating his own life. Boo Seungkwan- the Kwon empire's beating heart, their vulnerable hinge, their radiant little jewel my family demanded I tarnish with my own hands. That was the blueprint. Cold. Straightforward. Merciless. And it was working. Perfectly. Until it wasn't. Until my gaze kept drifting back to him. Until my jaw betrayed me with a smile at his ridiculous plot twists. Until desire coiled hot and sharp in my lower spine- unwanted, relentless, shameful- every time he breathed out "captain," voice dipped in honey and lips flushed like sin itself. And the structure of my life- the oaths, the schemes, the years of inherited rage, the bloodline I was chained to- all of it fractures. Splinters. Falls apart at the slightest tilt of his head. Because the most fatal enemy isn't the one you're sent to kill- it's the one you start wanting to keep.

What's worse than a blade at your throat or staring down your own death from a cliff? Getting married to Choi Seungcheol - the man even devils prefer to avoid. Yet here I stand, wrapped in silk I didn't pick, under chandeliers brighter than my will to live, listening to vows that feel more like contracts signed in blood. Everyone says this marriage will end a war. Cute. I say it's another battlefield - one I intend to walk across in heels and sarcasm. Because here I am, in a wedding hall dripping in roses and danger, smiling like I'm not actively planning how to make my new husband stop breathing.

If you ask Wonwoo when it all began, he'll tell you it didn't. Because nothing ever began with Mingyu. Mingyu was the kind of person who just... happened. Like summer heat, like loud laughter in quiet places, like falling asleep beside someone and waking up already missing them. They'd known each other since they were kids , since scraped knees and chasing fireflies, since "go away" meant "stay closer," and Mingyu never listened anyway. Back then, Mingyu was too loud. Too bright. Too much. Wonwoo didn't like loud things. But somehow, he never told Mingyu to be quiet. Not really. They grew up messily, awkwardly, in the way that boys with growing hearts do. Somewhere along the way, Mingyu got taller. Wonwoo got quieter. And love, whatever that was, started threading between them like light through leaves. Soft. Unspoken. Unnoticed. At least, by everyone except Mingyu. This is a story about: A boy who loved too loudly. And another who loved too quietly. It's about friendships that blur and feelings that twist, about secrets too dangerous to speak aloud, and moments that feel like forever even if they aren't. It's about what happens when one of them falls first. And waits for the other to catch up. Even when it hurts. Even when it's too late. This is the story of Wonwoo and Mingyu. Before the blood. Before the chaos. Before goodbye tasted like a kiss neither of them was ready to give. And before love, finally, painfully, made itself known.
