How to capture it all? I was no photographer My paint brushes, I have retired And words simply do not belong On a cover The same way they fit In my mouth, or march along the surface Of these pages. How to capture it all? The sounds, the smells, the blurring lights as life rushes past me. The things I feel but have not found reflected around me. The images that Undoubtedly Would stop the carbon copy of myself And urge, "Read me." How to capture it all? But some questions and answers Like some estranged partners Walk on opposite sides of the road. So I draw one line to the next Connecting the right And what's left of the unknown Into the semblance of a city. I scrawl above, Cement City. - Sticker made by @Pipwusa. 🥇 First Place in Poetry - Sunflower Awards 3.0 🥉 Third Place in Poetry - Borderverse Awards Season 2

Wherever you go, they see you. Whenever you blink, they're there. They were here before you were born. And when you die they'll be with you in The Underground. - San Francisco is a city run on blood and held together by secrets. Decades ago, large scale terrorist attacks corrupted humanity in gruesome, unsightly ways, giving birth to a generation of supernaturals. Today, the city is plunged in eternal darkness, serving as a haven for the starved and wicked alike. Vivian is a woman trained in the art of asking questions and sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. Pulling at the threads of the city's inner workings has become her new favorite hobby, but it soon becomes clear that curiosity will kill more than a cat. - This is Book 1. This book contains mature themes including descriptions of violence, gore, and sexual situations. Trigger warnings will be posted for exceptionally offensive scenes but reader discretion is advised.
