In 1969, there was a woman named Penny Tweedy. She was the daughter of Christopher Chenery, and lived in Colorado with her husband and 5 children. When her mother passes away, her and her family head out to Virginia. And all of a sudden she's dragged into the amazing world of horse racing... Her 20 year old daughter, Alison, joins her. Since she had been riding since before she could walk, she was around the horses most of the time. What'll happen when she meets Ronnie Turcotte, jockey of her mothers new horse?
