I wanted to take this concept and flip it on its head and create a #writethisinyourstyle for us authors! As a primarily Sanders Sides writer, these prompts will revolve around the Sanders Sides! "When I grow up I want to be a knight just like you, Daddy!" "And you will, Kayley, don't you worry." ~ Patton traced the name carved into his father's headstone, smiling sadly to himself. "Happy birthday, Dad. I know I'm wasn't the perfect daughter, and never will be... but I hope I'm the son you would have wanted." He heard his mother calling, something about his chores. The chickens needed feeding, the barn needed cleaning. "Hurry up, Kayley, so we can start your dress later!" Patton grimaced and looked up at the red streamer hanging from the barn roof. If he squinted he could see the neighboring farm, flying the same streamer. Camelot was finally finished. The soaring castle walls in place, stained glass casting bright colors across the floors. The large, circular table was in place. Everything was ready. Patton was going to be at that table if it killed him... and with his biological predicament, it just might. Taking a small stick, he went around his father's gravestone and began to write in the dirt behind it. 'Kayley Albrecht' "Kayley!" When Virgil lifted his head from his hands, he locked eyes with Princey. He looked shocked and afraid and a million other emotions that swirled together in a jumble of curiosity and confusion. Virgil calmed the panic in his brain quickly enough to stand. "I-I'm just going to-to go..." he whispered, suddenly more interested in his feet than Roman's face. He made his way to the door a few feet away, ignoring the sound of movement behind him. "Virgil, wait!" Roman grabbed onto his wrists, stopping him. Instantly, the anxiety bubbled up inside of him and Virgil's hand began to shake. "Please let me go..." He mumbled, the sound barely audible, even in the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room like smog. "Virge-" "Please..." A single tear dropped from one of his eyes as he squeezed them both shut as tight as he could. Slowly, Roman's grip loosened and Virgil reached for the doorknob, slipping out of the room and into the safety of his own. ATTENTION: This book is undergoing editing. In some places, it's major, like deleting an entire scene, and in others, I need to change wording around because I don't have an editor to tell me that things sound like shit.

When Logan, a florist with a PhD in botany, decides to hire someone to work the counter in his flower shop, he assumed it would be no big deal. He would get his coffee from his friend Virgil's shop, as per usual. Ignore his other friend Roman unsuccessfully flirting with Virgil, as per usual. He would continue to live a calm, unruffled life, as per usual. He could never have expected what a disruption one single Dad could make to his neatly ordered life. This is a Sanders Sides themed "Choose Your Own Adventure" story! For those who haven't read this type of story before, the basic concept is where the reader (you!) makes decisions throughout a story. Based on the decisions that the reader makes they read a different storyline that follows their decisions. Shortly after World War II, something happened to the human race-something extraordinary. After so much death, humans grew to evolve. Some became stronger, others faster. However, many developed more dramatic abilities-superpowers, to put it simply. Some "Paragons," as they deemed themselves, could fly; others could read minds. And some of them got completely fucked in the power department. Not everyone evolved to possess these skills. These people-muggles, cripples, "Voids"-were viewed as lower; to Paragons, they were useless, worthless wastes of space. Anyone weak was like a bug to them; well, most of them. As anyone would expect, when a good portion of the world becomes powered, some of them are bound to have a superhero complex.

'Looking for quiet roommate.' 'Located in quiet area.' 'Apartment has previously received noise complaints.' Virgil groaned and tossed his phone onto his bed, burying his face in his hands. He just needed an apartment that would be okay with his job. Trying to keep to his price range and find what he needed was proving to be so much harder than he thought it would. This would be his first time moving somewhere that he didn't know the owners of the place beforehand. "Welcome to YouTube life, idiot." Virgil grumbled to himself. He picked up his phone again, going to close out of the app he was using, but suddenly a line on one that he hadn't looked at caught his eye. 'Must be willing to allow for eccentric work ethics and schedules, as owner of the apartment works independently online.' Virgil tapped on the listing and began to read. 'Four bedroom apartment, looking for up to three roommates. Apartments beneath and above are both empty at the moment, noise is not a problem so long as residents are courteous. Preferred that applicants are male.' Virgil stared at the listing. This was so... so perfect. He closed the app and tapped his messenger app. 'Hey Pat, I think I found something.' Disclaimer: I just reread A Lesson in Practicality by @residentanchor, so there might be some things ever so slightly similar to that, but if there are I am not doing it on purpose and I apologize. // COMPLETED // Ah-hem . . . Because I'm garbage and bored: An unoriginal and probably predictable/cliché AU where the Sanders Sides all go to high school together! Virgil is the new kid in town, and when the four sides are placed in the same group for chemistry, developing relationships and drama ensues. Roman is forced to face the skeletons in his closet, the new kid in town takes a liking to Patton, and both Virgil and Logan struggle to maintain control of themselves and their feelings as they are flung out of their comfort zones. (Prinxiety & Logicality) I do say in my first chapter that the shipping will be light. What I mean by that is that it's pretty much just fluff but, let's be honest, the whole plot basically revolves around this romance thing. It ain't light.
