Chapter One of a story I started. I'm only posting chapter one to get some feedback so I can see what works and what doesn't. It was a normal assignment: "parent" an egg for two weeks to learn about responsibility. For Kyle, however, the end of the assignment brings about a whole new beginning.

Carmen Foster leads a seemingly normal life, that is, as much as can be expected when your Dad is one of the biggest hunters in the history of hunting. At age 17, Carmen already knew 3 different martial arts, could throw knives like it was no body's business, was a pro at swinging a broadsword, and could shoot arrows off a longbow and right into a bullseye on a good day. She had her life planned out, and strove to follow in her fathers footsteps some day, and maybe even tell her boyfriend about it. What she doesn't foresee, though, is being kidnapped by the very thing her father hunted, Vampires.

He was forcefully summoned into another world. He appeared in the middle of a battlefield. He dies. He wakes again. Disoriented. Scared. Hopeless. Will he be able to go back again?
