#WINNER OF WATTPAD INDIA AWARDS 2021 (MATTERS OF HEART CATEGORY) Veritas is one of the oldest most popular newspapers in India, having been established prior to Independence. Born into a family of hard hitting columnists, Anita is a woman who has been raised on facts and logistics. And she knows the manner in which they must be presented to the world. And thus, as far was the world was concerned, Anita Sinha had had two accidents . One landed her in a wheelchair for a year when she was twenty-two. The other, several decades apart was a plane crash that killed her. But in between those two, another one lay, unheard of. In the year of her first accident, Anita was sent to England for rest and recovery. Amidst the process what ensued was a dangerous and passionate affair with the art teacher at the nearby St. Anne's school. Women who fall in love are frowned upon, Anita knew. But what happened to women who fell in love with women? This is India in the seventies, when Emergency raged on in the country. This is the seventies when bell bottoms and flared jeans were the rage in the world. This is the story of a woman who fell in love with a woman. Section 377 was decriminalised only in 2018; but even prior to that wasn't love just love? The story that didn't make it to the headlines. ( 59,000 WORDS )

Based on the popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, season 1, this is a rewrite of some of the events that ensued. Taking off from 17th July 2012 episode, here's what I hoped would have happened. - What if, Khushi had ended the contract marriage after the six months term? What if, though Shyaam's truth had been out, Khushi decided to walk out and make something out of herself. What if, even though Arnav relented and used tactics, Khushi gave herself the respect she sure deserved. Things would have been different for Khushi, and maybe Arnav would have realised what he is losing in the garb of arrogance and denial. (Unlike the show, this happens in the year 2005) ✨ Semi-AU. Winner of Wattpad India Awards 2020 (Judge's Choice) in the New Adult category. ~*~ "The lights are cheeky, you can't live without them, and yet if you get too close, they'll blind you. Darkness? Well it doesn't cheat. It's cool and soothing. It's reliable." ~*~ Madhulika Thakur thought it would be a good break from work when she agreed to visit the countryside. After all, someone needed to sort out the property her family owned there, and real estate was her forte. What she didn't expect was to be engulfed by a landslide of issues just waiting to be addressed. She must navigate her way through the mess of a fragile social fabric, complex caste equations and the sheer helplessness of the people she never knew worked for her; all the while trying to regain the trust of a long-abandoned old friend. For the first time in her life, she must choose between what she wants and what is right. ~.~ Cover by @chaashnee
