[Ranked #86 in Short Story (06/05/2015)] [Unedited. Please excuse the little mistakes.] *trigger warning* scarred: deeply affected or marked by mental or physical pain or injury. That's what he was... he was scarred by her love for him. **** "I love you so much," she whispered, as I cradled her crying self in my arms. I looked down at her tearstreaken face, and then at the fresh scars on her arms; I felt a single tear escape from my eyes, too. All I wanted to do was to scream and shout and tell her that I didn't love her. But I didn't. I couldn't. "I love you, too." --- Special thanks to my friend Esha Mohol for letting me borrow her photo for the book cover! © Copyright _legallycrazy_ 2015 All Rights Reserved.

There was something about him. Or maybe there was something about me. I didn't want him in my life but he ran into it; literally. He liked to hide in trees, irritate me, and read books; despite the fact that it went against his image. He was more than meets the eye. Although at first I didn't want to know more. He lured me in like an unsuspecting moth to an open flame. Knowing the dangers I went in, wanting to know more. It could hurt me but it was too irresistible and I was drawn in. This isn't how the bad boy made me bad or about how I made him good. This is about how we changed each other lives. In good and bad ways. Whatever that means. "I don't bite.... hard." He smirked at me, winking one of his bright hazel eyes at me. It only made me more frustrated. "Yeah but Hunter, if you did you'd probably give me rabies." I rolled my eyes looking back at the book in my hand.

"It's not that I don't love them. It's just that ever since that day, everything between us changed. I don't even know who my parents are anymore. In one night, the understanding and loving parents that I knew became into two people who judged my every move and never once listen to what I have to say." A tear fell from my eyes as I shared my story to him. Out of nowhere, he touched my hand. Instinctively, I pulled back. "Sorry, I thought you needed some comforting gesture. My mum would always do that to me but she would hug me and I thought that it will be inappropriate if I suddenly hugged you so," he paused. "If you don't like it, I swear I won't do it again," he rambled nervously. I relaxed and held his hand again, intertwining our fingers. "It is quite comforting. Thank you." I glanced at him and saw his lips formed a grin. "My life isn't that much of a fairytale either. Being a bussinesman means you have to be intimidating and strict in order for people to respect you. I also have to put on a facade of the typical rich playboy. In all honesty, I'm not at all like who I'm trying to potray." I huffed. "I doubt having girls throwing themselves at you is horrible." He laughed at my response. "I have trust issues, you already know that. It's not easy having people following every step you take and all the high expectations you have to fulfill. It gets frustrating." I squeezed his hand for comfort. He shifted in his seat and faced me with a soft smile. "But with you, I can lower my guards down and even trust you to share all about myself." He was right. We just met each other but somehow, I believed in this masked guy more than anyone I know. I smiled at him, "I guess we both have things in common. I trust you too and we both hide behind a mask to protect us." "Yeah." That was the last time I saw him. The black haired stranger who I shared my story with. The one I met at a masquerade ball but never knew his name. And I think I've fallen for him. Badly.

[Ranked #352 in Teen Fiction (14-03-2015) Ranked #368 in Romance (25-05-2015)] ❝I pretend to be happy, but I'm not. I'm fucked up inside.❞ Smart and sassy, Christine Hawkins was the hottie with the dazzling smile and confident personality, which made people worship her footsteps. She was a complete package; super rich, popular senior year student, head cheerleader, and had the captain of the football team as her boyfriend. Handsome, charming, dashing and drool-worthy Bradon Evans was the lead singer of a famous boy band, 'The Illegitimates'. A 'heart breaking' break-up later, Bradon found himself helping Christine get back together with her ex. But behind the hard exterior and cheerful aura hid a broken and damaged girl with a past Bradon could've never imagined she had. Could she possibly trust him enough to let him in and love him, or would she remain the indecisive girl whose insecurities and secrets lay in a diary no one knew about? - "Why are you giving him that cold treatment? I could slice the tension in the air with a blunt knife," he said in a Damon Salvatore-like body language, mimicking the action of cutting something with a knife. "Nothing, we had a great relationship and he cheated on me." "Well, I can help you bring him back." - **'The Illegitimates' is just a fragment of my imagination. [This book is my FIRST BOOK and also a work-in-progress; and English isn't my first language either. So please bear with the small mistakes :)] © Copyright _legallycrazy_ 2014-2015 All Rights Reserved
