Naaz Rashid should have died. She doesn't know why she survived. She doesn't know what happened to her. And, at first, she has no reason to believe that her inexplicable brush with death has anything to do with the strange events that begin unfolding afterward. There are haunted places, buried histories, impossible phenomena and people whose greatest threat may not be what lurks outside them, but what lies within. And somewhere amid the horror, the absurdity and the occasional moments of dreadful normality, one question remains: What, exactly, did Naaz survive? Because whatever happened that day was not the end of something. It was the beginning.
