SISTERS OF LAZON
Los Angeles, 1978.
Before Buddy had a television show, before Happy Town existed, and before anyone knew what was hiding behind the screen, there was the Sisters of Lazon.
A residential youth institution built around structure, discipline, religion, and the belief that troubled children could be corrected.
Then a twelve-year-old boy begins drawing something.
A strange horned figure with large eyes and a smile.
He calls it Buddy.
At first, the Sisters believe it is nothing more than the imagination of a frightened child.
Then televisions begin turning on without power. Hallways stretch into places that should not exist. Voices come through disconnected electronics, children report doors appearing where there were only walls, and something beneath Lazon begins learning how to speak.
Across the decades, the institution changes.
The building is rebuilt. New Sisters take control. Old records are hidden. Reality Correction becomes part of the program, and the thing haunting Lazon grows quieter-
but it never leaves.
Then, in the 1990s, a children's television writer named Casper Kelly creates It's Buddy! completely unaware that the name, the horned shape, and something far older have already existed inside Lazon for years.
The show gives Buddy a face.
Happy Town gives him a home.
And the people watching give him a way in.
By 2007, people are disappearing through television screens.
By 2026, Buddy is ready to build a new cast.
Before The Dance Party, before Skylar and her friends were trapped in Happy Town, before Ethan Monroe became the man inside Buddy, and before the truth finally reached the outside world-
there were the Sisters.
And the institution that spent decades trying to control something it never truly understood.
